A insider's guide to the frightening reality of higher education
When I first posted A Tale Out of School, along with the highly revealing emails from administrators and others, it got a lot of hits.
I’m posting this “reminder and notice” for new visitors who may not be aware of the article and want to read it – or even read just the accompanying emails.
I think the story is important because the actions it describes illustrates, in a shocking way, how some, even “elite”, universities go about their “business”.
Here is a list of my posts that I believe are most essential for understanding the problems with higher education. I suggest reading the page with quotes from David Riesman and Clark Kerr, first, though. Then, hopefully, some of my posts give examples and explanations of how their general observations work out in practice.
